Bio
Solstitium was founded by Joey White — an independent platform born from a simple need: to create unfiltered musical stories, free of boundaries, limits, or compromise. A space where a single feeling can run its full course, uninterrupted, from the first note to the last echo.
The name comes from the Latin for solstice: the moment the sun appears to stop moving. It is the still point in the year, the longest light, the turning of a cycle. That single image shapes everything the label does — the circular mark, the release calendar, the slow builds and long fades in the music itself.
We work with a small circle of artists rather than a large roster. Each record is given its own visual world, its own release moment, and the time it needs. Nothing is put out to fill a schedule.
What we look for is simple: music that can pull someone out of an ordinary day and set them down somewhere else for six or eight minutes. If it does that, the rest is detail.

Every year the earth returns to the same point. Our catalogue follows the same rhythm — releases anchored to solstices and equinoxes, a cycle rather than a queue.
The Energy
Melody carries weight. We sign music with enough emotional force to move a room and still work at home, on headphones, at 7am.

Sleeve, sound and story are one object. Nothing is over-explained; there should always be something left to imagine.
